So lately I have been studying with J-drama TV Scripts. My favorite drama so far is Nobuta wo Produce (野ブタ。をプロデュース). And, as many Japanese learners know, there is this awesome site for J-drama scripts called dramanote. The site looks quite dated, and you will need to know a little Japanese to get around it since there isn’t a drop of English on the site. But it’s an incredible resource to use if:
- you’re doing AJATT and need immersion materials. You could also mine sentences/cloze cards from the scripts.
- you need practice reading Japanese.
- you want to pair the script with audio for listening comprehension.
- you are looking to use native written Japanese dialogue materials in some way.
I would recommend you watch the show once through with the scripts (no subs for maximum effectiveness) before you use the audio. That way you have a better idea of what’s going on in context when doing listening practice.
Let me know with a comment if these materials helped you. 乾杯。
